Up for auction is a used, fair condition 10"x28" CAMCO Scotch Bass Drum in black diamond style drum finish.  NO RESERVE.
As shown in the photos, there are obvious scuffs and scratches on the drum finish, the wooden bass drum hoops and the metal hardware.  This drum is a 1960's era drum with a white and brass badge that reads CAMCO DRUM CO., OAKLAWN, ILLINOIS, U.S.A.  This drum does not have a serial number.
The drum has 10 center style lug castings and all of the hardware is chrome plated.  There are two eyelets screwed into the shell that perhaps were used for a carrier or a bass drum sling by the previous owner.  In addition, between the eyelets, there is a 1/2" hole that was drilled into the shell  as well as some scuffing and nicks as shown in the photos. The wooden bass drum hoops are painted all black.  The original center inlays are no longer on the wooden rims.
The interior of the drum is painted a dull white finish and has top and bottom interior reinforcement rings.
Both drum heads are new, generic style, smooth white heads.
The finish on the majority of drums from this era have a considerable amount of fading on exposed areas but this drum does not. Instead, the finish appeared to darken a bit.  When we removed the old, broken heads we noticed where the head was seated was lighter in finish color.
Please check out the photos of our 10"x28" CAMCO bass drum.  This drum is hard to find, especially in such nice condition!  Thank you!
