Vintage Mid Century 1950's Hyde Bowling Shoes Men 6 Women 7.5 Leather

Vintage 1950's or earlier, Hyde brand leather bowling shoes.
They are a men's size 6 or a women's size 7.5. They are slightly over 9.5 inches long when measured on the inside.
Someone "polished" these white. It is time to freshen up that polish.
My idea - Polish these again, using a light color. Then, you have a fresh palate to paint these. You could go with the traditional two tone or paint designs on them.
They are sturdy, just scuffed.
